The
College exists to serve the current and projected needs
of the wider society. Besides teaching, the College works
to foster co-operation between the academic, the field
work, an the institutional communities who relate to key
questions of society with regards to Church or Faith communities
generally.
The Apostolic Churches International College awards Executive
Diploma in Contemporary Apostolic Ministry in the areas
of Spiritual Renewal, Social Regeneration, Cross Cultural
Ministries in Urban Settings, and International Partnerships
The
College functions as a private sector institution of
Churches, Church leaderships and Scholars that identify
with the apostolic life of the Church and its episcopal
governance. We seek to ensure that:
appropriate Church ministry tools, action units, skills
and spiritualities are shaped/resourced in apostolic
strength to bring impact in society, particularly in
the rapidly growing urban settings
historic connections of the Church (where appropriate)
are revitalized or redeemed - especially in the areas
of community regeneration - in advancing the Kingdom
of God.
emerging Church leaders gain greater confidence in Christ's
sufficiency, as they face mounting challenges in urban
situations.
The
College's life therefore is a flow of dialogue and fellowship
among mentors, learners, scholars, practitioners, locals,
internationals, theologians, strategists, catalysts,
Churches, and communities. - for purposes of learning,
research, working-relationships, or field contributions.
The
College also provides training and consultancy services
to the corporate bodies. The Corporate Services Unit
conducts events like Workers Pastoral Support
Fairs. At one end, such events provide companies and
public-service departments opportunities to see the
value of industrial chaplaincies and work towards an
inclusive recruitment/employment approach in the employment
of theological scholars at policy levels. At
the other end, such events give companies and public-service
departments new moments to talk to candidates and conduct
interviews outside of their four walls.
