For the first ten (10) years of its
existence, the Institute for Community
and Development Studies focused its
work on equipping potential leaders
to serve as community development catalysts,
project managers, and development practitioners.
A key objective has been to assist individuals
establish themselves as development
leaders in emerging community-based
economies. From there, the individuals
would establish themselves in the challenging
career of community development practice.
The
Institute is continuing its services
in community development through the
provision of sustainable access for
field projects that need to enter
into the international philanthropic
capital and revenue markets. In line
with this service, the Institute is
also working to improve the level
